Gola Rainforest

The Gola Rainforest National Park project protects 71,000 hectares of Upper Guinean rainforest in Sierra Leone and Liberia, home to forest elephants, pygmy hippopotamuses, and 350+ bird species. It is one of the most important intact forest ecosystems remaining in West Africa.
